Part of a project team to design a new, attractive toy for kids between 5-10 years old. Ideated possible toy ideas that children would like. Conducted field tests where we went to a play museum and gathered feedback on our concept and test models, and then iterated on the design to create a final prototype that was demonstrated in a semester end presentation.
As part of Team Llama in the 2.00b: Toy Product Design course, we designed and produced an unique toy titled Rocket Raid. This toy aims to increase physical activity among children, especially those aged 5-10, through a concept combining the classic game Red Light Green Light and resource collection. The design process involved extensive brainstorming and iteration, where we gathered opinions from the target audience and streamlined resource consumption. As part of the process we learned prototyping and production methods, which we applied towards our end product in the final few weeks of the course.
